In order to complete the HBDI Survey Form, the respondent must supply some personal information such as: name, telephone number, address, and preferences among various thinking style descriptors. Herrmann International uses this information to calculate the HBDI Profile. Some additional demographic and research information is optional and is noted as such on the form.

The data resulting from the 120 questions on the HBDI are used to create a “profile” transparency page, “data summary sheet”, “narrative description” and “mini profile” page, all of which are printed and packaged in a sealed, confidential packet. These packets are provided to the certified HBDI facilitator for distribution to the respondent or sent directly to the respondent.

HBDI information is collected and calculated in a database secured behind a firewall and is accessible only to designated employees of Herrmann International who are under contract to maintain its confidentiality. In those situations where the HBDI is completed under the auspices of a third-party certified, licensed HBDI practitioner, that practitioner also has access to this information. The use and confidentiality of HBDI data by the practitioner is governed by the Herrmann International Licensing Agreement.

Herrmann International is the creator and originator of the HBDI® - Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument®, and of Whole Brain® Technology.
